    The club kicked off its 2012 programme with the traditional New Years Day walk to Tetney Lock starting from Cleethorpes Bathing Pool. On a fine but windy morning around 60 members made their way to the revamped Crown and Anchor for an enjoyable social gathering.

    There were 80 walkers on the recent Sunday trip to the gritstone edges between Moscar and Baslow. It was a dry February day but very icy underfoot. See Photo Gallery.

    For the next Sunday walk on March 18th the club heads to Derbyshire. A number of walks are planned around Whaley Bridge details of which will be available on the day. The coach route will be by way of the A623 from Baslow; A6 Chapel-en-le-Frith and the A5004. The pick up point will be in the car park by the canal depot.

    Over 40 members attended the annual 'slide show' held recently at the New Empire, Runswick Road. A variety of digital images were on view including those of members trips to Sardinia, Madeira, Spain, Slovenia, France and Italy.
